CLIC Sargent has made lots of developments with its waste disposal. We can happily say that we now recycle most of our office based card, paper, plastic and metals.

This is not only great for the environment but saves the Charity money on expensive waste disposal services that use landfills.

CLIC Sargent has also been working in conjunction with Booksavers, a recycling and re-distribution charity. As a result of this relationship we have now prevented tonnes of books going to landfill as well saving more money.

The Charity has also expanded its mobile phone recycling scheme to now include mp3 players. We would love you to dig out your old electronics and send them to us via our freepost recycling bags. You can request these online.

How your donations help

  • 60 mobile phones - could fund a CLIC Sargent Care Grant. Grants help ease the financial pressure that often comes with a cancer diagnosis
  • 100 mp3 players – could pay for a family to stay at a CLIC Sargent Home from Home for 10 days. A Home from Home offer families somewhere comfortable to stay for free, close to the hospital
  • 650 mobiles could fund a CLIC Sargent Play Specialist for a month. They use toys and photos to explain to children what will happen during treatment and overcome their fears. If a child is calm, treatment can be easier and more effective.
