We have some 500 volunteers in our CLIC Sargent shops, which are located in the South West of England.  Each shop has its own team of dedicated volunteers who work hard to promote the cause of CLIC Sargent and the children and families that we support.

Whatever your motivations for volunteering in one of our shops, there is always great satisfaction in knowing that the profits raised will go towards much needed care and support for children with cancer, and with a number of different roles on offer, there's something for everyone.

What Can I Do?

You can choose from a number of different roles in our shops, and can offer as much or as little time as you are able.

On the shop floor

  • If you enjoy being around people and a varied range of tasks, this could be the place for you. You will be the first point of contact for customers, answering their questions, ringing up purchases on the till, and making sure the shop is well presented.

Behind the scenes

  • If you would rather be working behind the scenes, we need people to join our team to help sort through donated stock, prepare items for sale and price them appropriately
  • Perhaps you have specialist knowledge - Avid bookworm? An ear for music? A flair for fashion? Your knowledge can really help us maximise value from the stock that we sell
  • Alternatively, we always need help with administrative tasks around the shop, such as stock checks. An eye for detail and good organisation skills are what you need.

Out and about

  • If you prefer being out and about, we need people who can help us promote CLIC Sargent in their local community.  This could involve putting up posters, or distributing collecting boxes in your local area.  Any help you can give really does make a difference.
What Next?

To get involved and start making a difference contact your nearest shop, who will be happy to hear from you.

Once you have found a shop near you:
