General hospital amenities

There is a restaurant that is open 8am-4pm Monday to Friday. A League of Friends shop, situated at the main entrance of the hospital, sells hot and cold drinks, sweets and snacks, newspapers, cards, basic toiletries, etc.

The Chapel is on the ground floor of the hospital. An emergency call-out chaplaincy service is available by calling 01304 214371.

A public telephone and freephone for taxis is available at the main entrance of the hospital.

Travel information

Train: The nearest train station is Dover Priory.

Bus: The number 67 or 67A bus service leaves from Pencester Gardens. Please call Stagecoach on 0845 600 2299 for more timetable information or visit their website at www.stagecoachbus.com.

Parking: All car parking at the hospital is pay-and-display.
The costs are:
0-3 hours £1.70
3-8 hours £2.70

If you need to visit the hospital several times over an extended period, a weekly parking permit (£12) can cut the cost of parking. The permits can be obtained from the parking hut (at the top of the main car park, opposite the main entrance).

There are 'drop off' zones outside key areas of the hospital. If you are taking your relative/friend to a hospital appointment you can use these areas to park for 15 minutes free of charge while you drop them off.

Disabled access: There are disabled bays near the main entrances of the hospital, where parking for disabled badge holders is free for up to three hours. Current charges apply if parking in a standard pay-and-display bay.

General: Day Care Unit - Carousel Ward, where children are seen for review and transferred if admission is deemed necessary. Outpatient clinics are also held at the site.
