Travel details to hospital
Train: Gloucester railway station is located a short flat walk from the hospital.
Bus: Several buses stop at the hospital. Bus timetables are displayed at the hospital main entrances. For further information about ring Traveline on 0870 608 2608.
Parking on Site: Parking can be difficult at times. Resident parents may apply for an exemption ticket for parking - ask the Clinical Nurse Specialist. Parking charges apply in all car parks.

Ward facilities
Play: The playroom is open all day and a Play Specialist is available 8am- 6pm. An adolescent room is also available.
Learning: The schoolroom is open 9.30am-11.30am and 1pm-3pm.
Other Facilities: There is a parents kitchen with a microwave, tea and coffee facilities.

Meal Times: There are set meal times. Breakfast is 7-8am, lunch at 12pm and dinner at 5pm. Tea and coffee are served throughout the day. There is a microwave on the unit for heating of meals at any time. Take-away food can be brought in.

There is a pull-down bed by the side of each child's bed. The Ronald McDonald Suite comprises of 10 en-suite rooms, a communal kitchen, a sitting room and laundry facilities.

The multidisciplinary team is lead by a consultant paediatrician who specialises in paediatric oncology. A play specialist, school teachers and nurses are also active members of the team.
