General hospital amenities

On the ground floor there is a shop selling newspapers, magazines and snacks. There is a canteen on the 2nd floor. A cash machine is available. 

Disabled access and a hearing loop are available.

Travel details to hospital

Train: The hospital is approximately half a mile from Hull Paragon station.

Bus: Medibus - 01482 395 553.  Park and Ride services are available from Priory Park and Walton Street.
For information on public transport across the area call 01482 222 222.

Car Parking: On site parking is available on Argyle Street, next to the main hospital site. There are also disabled parking spaces available on the hospital site. Reduced cost parking permits are available, costing £10 for a month.

Ward details

General: Ward 130 West

Number of Oncology Beds: There no specific oncology beds on this ward, however the oncology patients who need to stay are generally given a large cubicle with a pull-down bed for a parent, and a fridge.

Age Range: 1-16 (16+ will be treated on adult wards)

Ward facilities

Play: There is a play specialist and a playroom with toys and computer games. Each patient’s bed has Patientline access with Television (free) and telephone (calls are charged).

Learning: There is a hospital school with a teacher and teaching assistant.

Other Facilities: There is a parents’ coffee lounge, which is shared with a neighbouring ward.

Rounds: These are at 9am daily.

Visiting Hours: Open visiting is in place for parents and relatives.

Pull-down beds enable one parent to stay with the child.
