Take lots of photos, especially when times are bad. Your child (and you) can look back on the pictures later to prove to yourselves that he has got through it and is on the road to recovery. And in the event (heaven forbid) that he doesn't make it, it's a precious reminder of your family life together. Alison (David's mum)
Enjoy the little things in life. Your priorities will be turned on their head and the things you once valued so highly will become insignificant. Take time to go for a walk in the woods, hear the birds sing, throw pebbles into the sea. It can be very rewarding to feel close to nature with your child. Alison
