message: hi adam, hope alls well at ur end, we live in ramsgate ,kent, a town about 80 miles from london,jacks still not eating , but i no he will, my emails <email address removed> ,yeah jack starts interferon on monday, 3 x a week for 6 months, is that the same course u had, can i ask, did u lose ur hair from the chemo? can i ask what stage u were at when diagnosed,? so what things are u into? how much time did u have of school?, gotta go babies starting crying, bye 4 now, take care, with love becky

message: yeah i had the same course of interferon! i didn't lose my hair suprisingly. i am not sure wot stage i was but i will find out for u though. i am into sports music u know all the teenage boy things! lol :) i was off school for about a year and half schoo, wise!!! but i still took my GCSE's and i did pretty well infact!!!! speak to you soon love adam x

message: jack starts his interferlon on weds, it was meant to be last week, but the transport was very late so its was changed,, a yr and half, that was a long time of school, good on u for doing well with ur gcse,s, jack started eatin this week, im well pleased, his hickmans coming out within nx 3 weeks too,, how did the interferlon make u feel?,gota go, my babys crying, lots love becky

message: thnx. i am pleased that jack is doin well. i am also glad that he is eatin now as well. it was a long time but the hospital got in touch with the school and arranged for a tutor to come and give me 2 hour lessons every day!!!! my hickman was out a bit premature only becuase i had an infection in it and i had finished treatment. when i was on interferon i was good like but the injection point such as my arms and stomach went hard and it was a bit painful when having them but i got through it and i am sure jack will to. we will have to meet up some time??? I would love to meet someone who has been through the same as me!! speak to u soon love adam xx :)

message: hi adam,hope ur ok,what u up to?anything exciting. jacks eatin well, especialy chinese, he loves them .hows ur mum, she coped alright, obviously! we went to hosp mon & was told that on scans there is a couple mm of uptake showin but they all think its radiotherpy scar tissue,hes a scan on 22 may to find out for sure,but it looks like good news, for sure! hes hickman comes out on 1st june,jacks arm is gettin v, bruised but he has it in same arm everytime,he should swap arms,he may be going to skol nex tues, hes had 8mths of, it seems ages,u were gr8 to of caught up after 18mths. so when do u finish skol?, speak soon, lots of love becky

message: i am ok thnx. glad to hear that jack is doing great. mum and dad coped with it in their own ways they didnt show too much, emotion in frotn of me. they took it in turns to stay with me in hospital so i was always with them. yeah i got scar tissue as well. i think he will be fine. tell him he should swap arms it does help a lot also he could use his stomach but i am sure you have been told that. well i only sat 6 GCSE's but i am happywith wot i had in them. well i hope he does go bk to skwl it would bring bk a bit of normality for him. i finish skwl in the middle of july i think will find out though the exact date. how r u? speak to you soon luv adam :)

message: hi ya, thanks for reply, jack went bk to skol last tues,but nurse called skol & recomended he come home til she had a meetin with hes teachers coz of hickman mainly,had that tues so he went bk properly weds, so how old are u 16 or 17? jack doesnt like to talk bout cancer much, he certainly wouldnt talk on a forum about it,i dunno but i think hes bottling it all up, hes abit cheeky as hes been able to get away with stuff,& been spolit , oh il see how things go. im so glad to of met u, hope ur well, love becky

message: Hey, glad jack has gone bk to skwl it will help him cope with it. i am 16. since i have been affectd by it i love talking about it because i am fascinated by the rarity of it. u should try and talk to jack aboput it maybe then he wiull open up. but maybe he is at that stage in a teenagers life wherew talking to ur parents is not cool. LOL!! i am glad to have spoken to someone who had the same problem and being able to help someone has really ment a lot to me!!! idont want to pressurise you or jack intop anything k!!! speak to you soon love adam :)

message: ive only just seen ur email from 28.april, so sorry, jack wont talk to any1 at all, but i will,on the 18th we were told it has ALL GONE, im so pleased we all are, weve just got bk from a week at centerparcs, jacks still got hickman & peg so he couldnt swim,but he did do the high ropes, which was well scarey,really high up, hickman comes out 7th of 7th,he cant wait to swim & to be able to have a proper bath.i hope ur doing brilliantly, i now give jack his interferon, did ur lower back hurt from the interferon?just wonderin as jacks lower backs been hurtin 4 awhile now,i did say about it to consultant, ill mention it when we see him again, hows ur family all doing? lotsa love, becky,

message: i am so glad for u all, that is really great news. hope u all had a good time in centreparcs it sounds like u did. i would never do the high ropes. i am doing fine. well maybe that is jack's way of dealing with things maybe in a few months he will wan to talk but it will take time. its funny that you mention the back problem coz ever since treatment the base of by back has been hurting and i was told by the DLA that i have ankylosing spondylitis but i never asked the consultant and they never told me. all my family are fine thank you very much. school is boring but its what you have to do i suppose. speak to you soon love adam xx :)
