Lambert Smith Hampton and CLIC Sargent launch partnership
Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), a leading national commercial property consultancy, is pleased to announce that it will be supporting CLIC Sargent, the UK’s foremost children’s cancer charity in 2008.
LSH Chief Executive, Mark Rigby, said: “Our teams have always been exceptionally active in raising funds for charity; they are all very altruistic by nature. We are delighted that we can direct this passion and energy in 2008 toward helping CLIC Sargent and such an important cause as caring for children with cancer.”
LSH is aiming to raise an amazing £150,000 for CLIC Sargent in 2008 through a number of different and innovative fundraising activities. The Charity was chosen as Lambert Smith Hampton’s charity of the year through a staff vote.
The new partnership was officially launched by LSH’s Mark Rigby and CLIC Sargent Patron, Eddie Jordan, at LSH’s first national Fuchsia Fashion Day on Friday 25 January. All 1000 staff across LSH’s national network of 28 offices will be asked to make a donation to CLIC Sargent and wear pink on the day to show their support for the Charity.
The money raised by Lambert Smith Hampton will be used by CLIC Sargent to continue caring for children and young people affected by cancer or leukaemia. As well as funding frontline care professionals, the money will provide support in the home, holiday services, and financial grants to help cover the increased costs that families face when their child has cancer.
Querida Williams, Head of Corporate Fundraising, says: “On behalf of CLIC Sargent I would like to say a massive thank you to Lambert Smith Hampton for choosing to support CLIC Sargent throughout 2008. This amount of money could help families remain with their children during treatment in one of our Homes from Home or pay for play specialists to help children come to terms with their illness. It will make a real difference in people's lives.”
