What better way to get into the festive mood this December than enjoying the dulcet tones of local choirs singing traditional Christmas carols in the stunning setting of the Newcastle City Hall. Tickets are now on sale for the annual Newcastle Christmas Concert in aid of CLIC Sargent, taking place on Sunday 7th December at 3pm.
Taking part in this year’s concert will be the Combined Hospitals Choir and the junior and senior choirs of Kings School, Tynemouth. They will be joined by the New Tyneside Orchestra and conducted by Stephen Pettitt, with compere Paul Mooney and organists Sarah Boutwood and Hugh Morris. This will be the 26th year the carol concert has taken place to raise money for children and young people with cancer, and their families. Last year the event raised over £11,000 for CLIC Sargent.
Tickets for the concert are available from the Newcastle City Hall box office on: 0191 261 2606 priced £6 for adults and £4 for concessions. All proceeds from the concert will be donated to CLIC Sargent.
