CLIC Sargent is looking for local daredevils to take part in an adrenalin-fuelled, 120ft abseil off Belfast’s Europa Hotel on Saturday 10th May 2008.
The abseil is sure to be a fantastic event and is the perfect opportunity for thrill seekers to get that adrenalin flowing whilst also making a real difference to children and young people with cancer.
Open to anyone with a head for heights over the age of 16, the event is supported by a professional abseiling company who will supply participants with all the equipment they need - all you have to do is register, fundraise and abseil.
Naomi Conway, CLIC Sargent Community Fundraising Manager for CLIC Sargent Northern Ireland, says: “This is a stunning venue right in the heart of the city and we are really excited about the event. It’s a great challenge for a very worthwhile cause and as places are limited we urge people to register with us as soon as possible.”
All money raised by the daring descent down the hotel will go directly to CLIC Sargent to help the Charity provide clinical, psychosocial, emotional and financial care and support to children with cancer and their families. These services are run through our youth programme, play specialist programme, family support services and by clinical care professionals based at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children and Belfast City Hospital.
It’s £25 to register for the event and participants need to raise a minimum of £75 in sponsorship each. For more information, or to order an entry pack, contact Naomi Conway on 07920 108500 or email naomi.conway@clicsargent.org.uk. The cut off point for registration is 28th April.
