What does your role involve?

I’ve volunteered for two years running at Glastonbury Festival with a group of cancer survivors.  I also helped give the garden at Sam’s House a makeover, including constructing a new decked seating area for the children and families there.

What motivates you to volunteer?

I lost my dad to cancer when I was very young.  I've found that working with CLIC Sargent in a variety of ways has given me a much clearer understanding of how to cope with cancer and that has been really valuable to me.  Volunteering in a support role for the young people at Glastonbury festival was such a fantastic experience.  I feel privileged to have met and spent time with everyone at CLIC Sargent.
