Families face immense financial burden from the moment their child is diagnosed with cancer. With the launch of the Cut the Red Tape policy paper, CLIC Sargent is calling for a simplification of the benefits claim process for families to keep it simple for kids with cancer.

On 12 December 2005 at the Design Council in London CLIC Sargent and leading information design consultants, Boag Associates, called for a simplification of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) claim process for children diagnosed with cancer. The documents in this section describe the role good design can play in the claim process and present our proposals for simplifying the DLA claim form for under 16's.
