The new partnership was officially launched by LSH’s Mark Rigby and CLIC Sargent patron, Eddie Jordon, at LSH’s Fashion Day on 25th January 2008. LSH aim’s to raise an incredible £150,000 for CLIC Sargent in 2008 through a number of diverse and inventive fundraising activities. Each of LSH’s 28 offices has been set the challenge of holding one event in aid of CLIC Sargent. Events so far have included the London Marathon, a St Georges Day event and a fundraising gig. With a golf event, a touch rugby tournament, and even a parachute jump planned for the imminent future, LSH’s fundraising is going from strength to strength!
Money raised by LSH will able us to fund specialist children’s cancer nurses who work in 21 regional children's cancer wards and in the community. CLIC Sargent Nurses make an enormous impact on the child’s treatment and ensures a seamless liaison between the many health professionals involved and by providing an on call service during the terminal stage of a child's life can make an incredible difference to families enabling their child to die at home.
