About Teddy20
Teddy20 was created in 2009 by cricket lover and local businessman Owen Newton. Hoping to raise awareness of childhood cancer in a fun, sporting manner, Owen called upon the cricketing community of Blandford to support him in his effort to raise £2000 for CLIC Sargent, a charity that supports children living with cancer and the Piam Brown Ward in Southampton.
Owen and his family were overwhelmed when they finally added up the total of the money raised to see that they had in fact raised well over £2,000, and even more surprised when people began enquiring if Teddy20 was to become an annual event.
