Once again Red Lodge Karting of Bury St Edmunds have smashed their fundraising target and raised an amazing £10,000 for CLIC Sargent.
The money was raised by organising a 'Challenge 15' - a team karting endurance event to commemorate what would have been Liam Fairhursts' 15th birthday. Liam was a fantastic young fundraiser for CLIC Sargent who unfortunately lost his battle with cancer in 2009.
The event was attended by CLIC Sargent Patron James Allen who gave a great commentary on the race and provided some good advice for up and coming F1 stars! This is the second event that Red Lodge has organised with the first raising £14,000 and they are so impressed with the support that they have received that they have decided to make it an annual event.
If you would like to put forward a team for the 2011 Challenge Cup or just fancy a go at karting then please contact Red Lodge on 01638 552316 or visit their website www.redlodgekarting.com
A big thank you to Sarah, Nigel and all the Red Lodge team for all the support they have given CLIC Sargent.
