CLIC Sargent supporters from Scotland, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland returned to Lisnaskea, County Fermanagh to take part in the annual 70 Wild Miles event. The challenge was tough – a 47 mile cycle, 10 mile kayak, and 13 mile run, but the warm weather conditions didn’t stop our competitors from crossing the finish line.
Gerry Murphy from Enniskillen beat 11 others to become the proud winner of the coveted CLIC Sargent 70 Wild Miles Trophy. Gerry finished in five hours, 17 minutes and 54 seconds.
In the team challenge, ‘3 Wild Men’ James Johnston, William Dunlop and Declan Burns from Enniskillen’s collected the first place trophy completing the challenge in five hours, seven minutes and 36 seconds. Team Blackthorn led by Jason Devine secured second place. Shooters Hotshots, from the Share Holiday Village, Fermanagh came third.
The evening ended with a well deserved BBQ and prize giving for first, second and third solo and team entries. All competitors and spectators had an amazing day!
