On Bank Holiday Monday over 75 people came out to tread the streets of Belfast and raise money for CLIC Sargent in the Belfast Marathon. A number of CLIC Sargent volunteers took up positions as cheer squads along the route.
CLIC Sargent's Regional Fundraising Manager, Katie Setterfield and CLIC Sargent Volunteers Brenda and Maria took part in the Fun Run and they are already planning a relay team for next year! The weather was perfect and everyone enjoyed the day.
One of the teams who took part to raise sponsorship for CLIC Sargent was the Cool Runnings Team and to date they have raised the magnificent sum of £4,608 with more to come.
CLIC Sargent would like to thank all those people who participated in the Marathon on our behalf, your support will make a difference to children and young people with cancer throughout the Province. We would also like to thank the many volunteers at our cheer squads.
