Bury Girls & Ladies FC's successfully ran their sponsored 'Dibblathon' this month in support of CLIC Sargent’s Kick for Children with Cancer campaign.
Every age group was involved in the challenge, from the under 8's to ladies, 50 took part in total with each completing a half an hour slot. With their collective efforts the team managed to keep two balls moving non-stop for 3 hours around a 400m track - a fantastic
achievement!
They also set up an open training session for local primary school girls in Year 4 and 5. A good number of girls came to enjoy a taste of football and are now attending training on a Wednesday night at the Bury Girls & Ladies FC club.
Diana Golding, chairperson of Bury Girls & Ladies FC said: "It was a fantastic day! It was good to get everyone together, enjoy the sunshine and our passion for football whilst at the same time raise money for a very worthy cause."
The club are still collecting money but are hoping to raise over £xx from the event.
A big thank to everyone involved at Bury Girls & Ladies FC and to Diana for organising a great event.
