Merseyside college St Benedicts really got in the spirit of World Cup fever when they held a week long fundraising event as part of CLIC Sargent's Kick for Children with Cancer campaign. The college raised £500 to help children with cancer.
The whole school got involved in a host of football activities including keepy-uppy and penalty shoot out competitions. All the fundraising activity was rounded off with a World Cup 5-aside tournament across all year groups.
Sophie Porfirio, CLIC Sargent Event Fundraising Manger for the North West said: "It's great to hear that schools like St Benedicts put so much effort and imagination into their event. I'd like to say a hugh thank you to Tricia Houghton and everyone involved at St Benedicts for all their hard work and support."
