Brothers-in-law Mick Mitchell and Len Parker are setting off on 1st May on a mammoth cycle ride from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for CLIC Sargent and the Christie Hospital in Manchester.

Mick and Len are undertaking this massive effort after Mick's daughter was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma last April. Neave, who has been treated at Christie Hospital and supported by CLIC Sargent Social Worker Alison, recently was awarded the Brownies' Star of Merit - a rare award given for courage and bravery in recognition of how she has battled through her treatment.

Dad Mick, a mechanic who describes himself as, 'unfit to say the least' will be relying on 'humour and God to get him through' especially as brother in law Len is an ex Royal Marine who keeps fit for fun!
