The Manchester Velodrome, home to team GB opened its doors for a unique challenge on Sunday 4 July - CLIC Sargent's Mission Impossible Abseil.
Participants did a 65ft free-hang inside the velodrome as cyclists spun around the track beneath them.
As part of CLIC Sargents Charity of the Year 2010 with Tesco, staff from across Manchester stores took part. The team from the Handforth store kicked off the event and Jeff Young, Grocery Manager said: "I do lots of extreme sports but to be able to do it for CLIC Sargent is brilliant because its such a fantastic cause."
Mum and Dad to Oliver also took part in support of their son who is being treated for leukaemia and is recieving support from CLIC Sargent. Mum Laura says: "When Oliver was diagnosed earlier this year, our lives were instantly turned upside down. However, there is so much support available and our CLIC Sargent Social Worker has been invaluable."
