St Benedicts College, Liverpool really threw its energies into its Kick for Children with Cancer football campaign. Its World Cup Week included a football tournament, penalty shoot outs, quizzes and much more all culminating in a World Cup themed disco. The college raised over £700 to help children with cancer.
Patricia Houghton from the college organised the event and said: "We took part in Kick for Children with Cancer for CLIC Sargent as it is such a worthy charity."
Patricia was not only pleased with how much the pupils enjoyed the event but was delighted to have smashed the £500 target she orginally set. The pupils used the fundraising 'thermometer' in their fundraising pack and every morning the children loved to fill in the new total.
St Benedicts have already raised £700 with money still coming in.
CLIC Sargent would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at the college with special thanks to Patricia. Well done!
