Alex Waters, a 19 year old F3 British racing driver from Bath, has recently launched a campaign to help create awareness of childhood cancer and CLIC Sargent whilst pursuing his motor racing ambitions on the track. The campaign is being backed by CLIC Sargent Patron Eddie Jordan.
Alex Waters is himself in remission after battling with skin cancer in 2006 and now he wants to help children with cancer by supporting CLIC Sargent.
To continue his career, Alex needs to raise sponsorship and he's devised a plan that will not only help to propel him through the motor racing ranks, but also raise funds for CLIC Sargent.
For every pound that Alex secures in sponsorship, he will donate 50p to CLIC Sargent. Alex has also taken part in fundraising events away from the race track, including the 2007 Nationwide Bath Half Marathon and the Silverstone Half Marathon, in March.
Alex has also chosen to brand his racing car in full CLIC Sargent livery throughout the year – so keep an eye out for Alex’s car on the TV!!
