Over 40 children and young people and their families who are being supported by CLIC Sargent enjoyed a wonderful day at Henstridge Airfield in Somerset. Everyone who wanted to flew in a light aircraft, mostly over Longleat and its safari park.
The weather was perfect and the visitors enjoyed a barbeque, drinks and ice-creams as well as face painting, air rifle and archery target shooting, rally cars, traction engine rides and flying model jet aircraft. With all that going on no wonder there were some very tired children at the end of the day!
The event, for the four year, was sponsored and provided by the airfield owner, Mr Geoff Jarvis. Geoff says: “I am delighted to be able to do this. It is my reward to see so many happy, smiling faces in spite of their other troubles.”
CLIC Sargent would like to thank Geoff Jarvis for continuing to support CLIC Sargent.
