Over 600 people turned out to watch a magnificent array of tribute acts in the "Stars Under the Stars" extravaganza, held at Roadford Lake in Devon.
The event hopes to have raised over £15,000 for CLIC Sargent and started with "The Rat Pack" performing wonderfully as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Junior. A graceful Barbra Streisand impersonator was next, followed by Marilyn Monroe who serenaded the audience under a bright summer sky.
The event, compered by Dragon's Den member Deborah Meaden, was a huge success and ended on a massive climax with a sensational tribute to ABBA and a firework finale.
The concert was attended by Patrons of the event including Devon-based chef Michael Caines and comedian Roy Hudd.
Kizzy Brown, Community Fundraising Manager for CLIC Sargent said:
"The event was really special. I was able to talk to the audience on the night about CLIC Sargent, and everyone got into the swing of things with much dancing, singing and laughing."
"Stars Under the Stars" was held in conjunction with the South West Lakes Trust who were also raising funds to purchase a specialist boat for disabled children.
